Origins is an online resource for information about human evolution, the human fossil record and paleoanthropology. The goal of the project is to provide access to the primary data used for human origins studies that meets the needs of researchers, students and the general public, and that is in accord with CARE (Carroll et al., 2020) and FAIR (Wilkinson et al., 2016) data management principles.
The project is divided into modules. The nomenclature module is the first to be completed and publicly accessible. Modules for fossils, sites, and taxonomy are currently in development.
