The West Turkana Paleo Project investigates sites throughout the west shore of Lake Turkana that range in age between over four million to only two hundred fifty thousand years old, including Kanapoi, Lomekwi, Kaitio, Nadung’a, and more.

The WTPP is directed by Dr. Fredrick Kyalo Manthi of the National Museums of Kenya, Carol Ward of the University of Missouri, and J. Michael Plavcan of the University of Arkansas.

The data in the West Turkana Paleo Project are currently private, meaning that access is restricted to project members.
